About Me
Hi this is my first ever blog and here are somethings to know about me. My favourite foods are apple crumble with ice cream, blueberry crumble with ice cream (but it is even better if they are both put together)and vanilla slice. My favourite colour is purple and my favourite animals are dogs, guinea pigs and pigs, cows, turtles and manta rays. My favourite ice cream flavours are vanilla yes just plain old vanilla ice cream and mint choc chip. My favourite subject is maths. And that is pretty much all you need to know about me so thank you for reading my blog.
Dirt Bike Riding
Here’s something that you don’t know about me, I love going dirt bike riding! I love trying to catch my brother, dodging all the holes and going as fast as I can on my Honda 80. But my favourite thing to do is go on the 6km or the 900m tracks; the 6km track is called The Family Track and the 900m track is named the Advanced trail. I first started riding a couple years back; my first bike was a little 110 that we found at the tip. It was originally my brother’s bike but then he payed me $20 to ride it. Now I usually ride his new bike which a Yamaha 125. He now rides my dad’s bike which is a Honda 250. Because most of the time I’m FREAKING OUT, I start singing the first song that pops into my head and I sing it at the top of my lungs. It’s always a little bit funny because we have helmet microphones that allowed us to talk up to 2km away and I always forget that they can hear me. But anyway until next time see you later alligator.
Story Starters
As a spelling activity we have leant to write engaging story starters. At the start of the year we read a fantastic story starter (maybe one of the best ever) from the book Charlotte’s Web. The story starter was, “Where’s papa going with that axe?” The starter engages readers and makes them want to read more of the book. We use three words and turn them into amazing story starters. The three words are: Jungle, gaol and genie. Hope you enjoy.
Jungle- All I could hear were the sounds of leaves as we trekked through the jungle. Gaol- I woke up, no memory of what had happened, the only thing that I saw was what looked like a gaol. Genie- As he rubbed the lamp, out came a puff of smoke. We thought that it was a genie but we were wrong.
Thank you for reading. Hope you enjoyed my story starters.
The Race
All the year 6 girls were called to the start line. Kendall was talking to Liv finding out her plan. The whistle blew. The race was on…Holly in front, Kenzie close behind me near the end. Slowly I passed some people getting closer to my goal. Every step felt as if my foot would fall off. I could feel the sun burning my head. As soon as I made it to the second lap the tension was building. Finally the year 6 cross country’s finish line was in sight…
